Education for a Humane Hawaii

Here you will find information on our programs offered by Hawaii Dog Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation.  You will also be able to find detailed program descriptions, information on Hawaii State Standards and more.

We strive to provide education to the people of Hawaii, especially children, regarding the humane treatment of animals.  This goal is accomplished through programs designed for students in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade, as well as adult programs.  Specifically, our goals include:

• To educate the public regarding a standard of care for the animals of Hawaii
• To improve the public's understanding of issues related to the care of animals such as, but not limited to, health, safety, hygiene, exercise and personal companionship
• To educate the public about the role of working animals who serve society
• To promote an awareness of governmental legislation related to animals
